about the author
Susannah's first widely-read tale of romance was in the form of graffiti on a school bench when she was six years old. Having swiped her older sister's secret journal, thereby discovering her sister had a crush on her classmate, Susannah proceeded to carve their love story into the wooden bench for all to read.
"CEK + MRN = TRUE LOVE FOREVER," which was both the title and entire contents of the tale, caused a sensation among the critics. Punished for her unappreciated creativity, she learned that life was tough as an artist. Due to censorship, she was forced to rub it away with sandpaper.
Throughout her childhood, writing was always a favorite hobby. She scribbled away countless short stories, usually involving royalty. Her favorite was a series of fairy tale sequels, wherein Cinderella got fed up with Prince Charming and hired a lawyer to divorce him. It was praised far and wide, or at least by her grandmother, and was held up as a brave commentary of our times, at least by Susannah.
Her first full 'novel' was finished when she was thirteen. It was about thirty pages long, contained in a lined notebook with pink paper, and was probably one of the worst and most transparent murder mysteries ever written. She was incredibly proud of it until she actually developed taste and decided it needed to be hidden and never shown to anyone, ever.
She spent a year studying graphic design at a private art school in Chicago before moving back to her home state to attend the University of Iowa. She majored in classical languages, taking courses in Greek, Latin and Hebrew. It was during university that she decided to put her pathetically extensive knowledge of grammar and syntax gained from years of language studies to use in a way her dead ancient masters would be proud: writing romance novels. She's certain they'd have enjoyed the sex scenes the most, as they'd be smutty enough for their preferences.
Susannah lives in Alabama and is currently in her mid-twenties. She has four older siblings, which was not entirely optimal while growing up but is now spectacular as an adult, as she will be younger than them for the rest of their lives.
